There is a new outlet for underground artwork and style!

February 14th, 2012

Hello world! I have recently been scouring the internet for a certain painting from a certain artist. I had met this artist named the Head Hunter at a festival in Florida one year. His work was amazing so naturally I asked how much. The price was a little outrageous for the original piece. I had to pass on the purchase but I snagged his card and left the fest. A week later I realized my girlfriend had washed my pants with the card still in the pocket. It was destroyed and all I had to remember the guy from is his name Head Hunter. I started searching the internet for the mysterious artist called Head Hunter and to my surprise there was a site called Skinnybuddha. I know its a really odd name but after checking out the site it makes sense. This site is loaded with unique underground style artwork! Not only was this site home to the Head Hunter but it was also home to about 10 other really incredible artists. They also have a clothing line and sell other independent clothing brands. I couldn’t believe I actually found this guy online! I also found a print of the painting I wanted to buy at a much more affordable price! Cheers to SkinnyBuddha for showing the local artists some love!

Lollapalooza

February 6th, 2012

One of the many yearly things I like to do is attend Lollapalooza. It has nearly become a ritual for me. I could be suffering whiplash symptoms and I would still attend the festival. This may seem silly, but it is true.

What comes with a Lollapalooza experience is often one that makes me think of the days when I used to go camping more often. You get sweaty, tired, hungry, thirsty, and sunburned. But it is all for the good of the experience. And I am glad to suffer those things to see what I have seen.

I have gotten to see so many bands, big to small, that I can’t believe I did. I have gotten to see The National, Devo, The Strokes, Depeche Mode, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Black Keys, Raphael Saadiq, Lou Reed, B.o.B., Big Audio Dynamite, Death From Above 1979, Friendly Fires, Crystal Castles, Santigold,  Metric, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Smith Westerns, and so many more. All thanks to that one great weekend every year in August.

Dear Dr Love: How Do I know if my girlfriend is cheating on me if she flirts a lot with other men?

January 28th, 2012

Obviousnullly every girl is a different case, but I think the main factor contributing to this girl’s flirtyness was her core confidence. She had few insecurities, and those she did have she could laugh about. In fact, the sexual confidence was no doubt fostered by her peer group… seriously, I met all her friends, and one of them in particular is a right little player. They’re also foreigners, as you can find a lot online dating site rencontre gratuit, and a the girls in her group of friends are also a little rebellious. I personally think that their level of sexual confidence is entirely healthy, if not when demonstrated in that particular context. They’re the masters of their own sexual realities, whereas with a lot of English girls there’s still that taboo about sexual freedom which keeps them from being sexually open and expressive. This type of girl is pro-active, as opposed to being the victim. They’re not slutty because they’re in control. She-players.

That means they need a dominant man and a dominant approach to release them from control. To surrender.. to love. This is the bliss which a relationship provides, and is why even a she-player wants to find that one guy. All girls want to be submissive to the man in the sexual realm; they want to be lead. Of course after I’d set my boundaries she didn’t make any overt attempts to flirt again when we were together. She’s since gone back home to study… our paths are separated and we’re seeing other people and we realise that love can’t be prioritised over our purposes (I’m travelling the world next year for example).

In the case of your ex, are you sure it was flirting and not just being sociable? In either case, remember that you can’t change her, but you can assert your boundaries and values over the relationship. You’d have to make this clear right from the very start so as not to appear incongruent; in other words, it must be part of your personality and core beliefs. One needs to get to the stage where this isn’t a logical though process; we’re all headed there. So if this instance was to happen again then just take her aside and tell her, and if she respected you as a man enough then she’d stop flirting.

Caribe Cove Resort

November 28th, 2011

There can’t be single person out there who wouldn’t agree that Orlando was the ultimate destination for a theme park vacation. And if you’re lucky enough to be planning such a trip then you will know that with the huge volume of hotels and resorts you can find yourself in quite a dilemma. That is why, in this article, I would like to tell you a little bit about the Caribe Cove Resort and why you’d be crazy not to at least check out what’s on offer here.

Following on from the sub-prime crisis of 2008 there hasn’t been a whole heap of building and development going in the Orlando but Caribe Cove was one of the resorts which was finished just before the market went collapsed. It has been growing in popularity year by year and certainly benefits from repeat guests. There’s only one word to describe the environment that Caribe Cove is situated in and that is lush. Well two words actually – lush and tranquil. It is surrounded by wetlands and lakes but is still only minutes from Disney.

Caribe Cove has manned security 24/7. It is a relatively small resort with only 187 two and three bedroom condos. These are spead across five 5-storey buildings. It has some lovely facilities such as a gorgeous heated infinity pool, fitness center, sauna, steam room, and a decked area with hot tub. Although they don’t have a restaurant there are plenty close by. And if you can’t be bothered to go out then you can always order in take-out – there’s plenty of choice!

Caribe Cove has the biggest rooms in the area with top class furnishings and decor. The three bedroom condos huge – 1600 sq.ft.  Thery sleep up to eight comfortably. They are all furnished the same and include a fully equipped kitchen plus separate laundry room. The master bedroom suite is fabulous and  is made up of bedroom with King-sized bed and sitting area, dressing room and ensuite bathroom. There are three flat screen televisions with cable plus a dvd player and internet access. You certainly won’t be short of entertainment to keep the whole family entertained.

All in all Caribe Cove offers great value for me – real luxury at rock bottom prices. You really can’t go wrong!
