There is a new outlet for underground artwork and style!

February 14th, 2012

Hello world! I have recently been scouring the internet for a certain painting from a certain artist. I had met this artist named the Head Hunter at a festival in Florida one year. His work was amazing so naturally I asked how much. The price was a little outrageous for the original piece. I had to pass on the purchase but I snagged his card and left the fest. A week later I realized my girlfriend had washed my pants with the card still in the pocket. It was destroyed and all I had to remember the guy from is his name Head Hunter. I started searching the internet for the mysterious artist called Head Hunter and to my surprise there was a site called Skinnybuddha. I know its a really odd name but after checking out the site it makes sense. This site is loaded with unique underground style artwork! Not only was this site home to the Head Hunter but it was also home to about 10 other really incredible artists. They also have a clothing line and sell other independent clothing brands. I couldn’t believe I actually found this guy online! I also found a print of the painting I wanted to buy at a much more affordable price! Cheers to SkinnyBuddha for showing the local artists some love!

My lessons from the online dating game

February 10th, 2012

The most important thing to remember about online game on dating sites such as be2 is that like all game it IS a numbers game. It’s a numbers game i will repeat that. There are going to be a lot of girls who don’t like you, can’t be arced to reply, forget to reply etc. Don’t stress about this, get over it and move on. But what it means is that don’t waste your time writing long individual messages. Yes i do copy pasted messages, and some girls call me out on them, but so what, in general they work if they are good. I’ve seen no difference in response rate for individually witty messages and standard copy pasted ones. So i just copy paste everything. Sod it. Basically all you’re doing with your first message is getting a girl to bring her attention to you, look at your profile and give her a hook verbally to respond to. My most successful messages are ones that invite reply. Generally by being extra cheeky. I am cheeky in general, and i think being on the more aggressive side with girls is always a good thing, much better than being friendly and nice. Whether it’s telling a girl to come clean my flat, telling to ask me out, telling her to say hello, I’m giving her a cheeky order. Which most girls kind of like. I’ve often had discussions with girls about the sort of messages they receive, and it amazes me the crap they get. So remember that when a girl logs in she will have probably 20-30 messages to get through before she sees yours. So your opener has to be good to get noticed. Some of the main mistakes guys make:

1) Writing far too much. I find more than 3 lines is too much. A girl doesn’t have the time or patience to read an essay; she will ignore it straight away. Make your opener short and snappy.

2) Not being interesting or different. Saying “hey how’s it going” or “how was your weekend” is utter shit. It’s basically not realizing the level of competition going on. No girl will respond to it because she has a choice, unlike most guys. I get girls writing to me with that shit and i don’t respond, why would a girl?

3) Sending filth. Being sexually & direct generally doesn’t work online. It shows no balls. Going up to a girl in real life and telling her you want to fuck her is unusual and takes courage. Online it’s normal. She will get 50% of all messages from guys saying what’s on their mind, and normally that’s that they want to fuck her. All it shows is your typing one handed and are only after sex, which doesn’t go down too well online. Stay away from this shit till you have built up some value.

Be strong and keep faith – If you will believe in yourself you will succeed with online dating!
